Thai Trade Exhibition Oman 2016: A Great Success

The first Thai Trade Exhibition Oman 2016 proved a great success exceeding all its organisers’ expectations.

Jointly hosted by the Thai Exporters and Manufacturers Association, the Royal Thai Embassy Muscat, Tourism Authority of Thailand (Dubai Office), Thai Airways (Dubai Office), the Office of Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion, Bangpakok 9 International Hospital, Vejthani Hospital, the Oishi Group, and their Oman counterparts, the event introduced a new shopping experience to the Omani people.

Thai Trade Exhibition Oman 2016 was hosted at Oman International Exhibition Centre (OIEC) Hall 1, from May 9 to 13, 2016.

Eighty-five Thai companies from various sectors as wide ranging as medical supplies and supplements, herbal goods, spas and cosmetics, food and beverages, home and decorative items, jewelry, fashion products and souvenirs showcased their products and services at the fair.

The fair attracted more than 20,000 visitors and generated international trade worth approximately US$30 million in business matching activities.

Thai Trade Exhibition Oman 2016 allowed Thai SMEs to explore business opportunities and introduce their products and services to Oman, a springboard to the Gulf (GCC) market of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

It also served as a venue to promote Thai culture through stage performances and Thai food demonstrations, while free medical consultations and a lucky dip draw proved most popular with visitors.
